Open Minds Combos

Laura Nelkin’s construction of Open Minds is unique and will probably blow your mind a little. She has kept the stitches simple and allowed for options if you want to challenge your needles a bit more.

According to Laura, knitting Open Minds is sure to teach you A LOT, there is support in her Ravelry and Facebook groups, and as always she has a “no knitter left behind policy”! 

Our Combos include 1 skein of Emma’s Yarn Practically Perfect Sock (80% Superwash Merino/ 20% Nylon, 400 yards/100grams), 5 skeins of Emma’s Yarn Practically Perfect Smalls (0% Superwash Merino/ 20% Nylon, 81 yards/20grams) and 2 skeins of Emma’s Yarn Marvelous Mohair (72% Kid Mohair / 28% Silk, 459 yards per 50-gram skein

* Just a little note about yardage* Our MC has 400 yards, and our smalls have 81 yards which are less than the yarn Laura used. We checked with Laura and she gave us the thumbs up! It will be ok! If you really really want to, you can snag an extra small skein of the MC (for swatching and such), but you don’t have to, the pattern is flexible. 

Also- there is an option to add beads later in the project (because Laura is THE beaded knitting Queen). Our kits do not include beads but you’ll get all the info you need to pick out beads when you download the pattern, should you choose to add them. You won’t need then to get started.
