Fading Memories Cowl 2024

As more of Ann Budd’s friends and family become victims to Alzheimer’s disease, she finds herself more passionate about the fight against it. That’s why she registered to take part in The Longest Day this summer to raise awareness (and hopefully a whole lot of funds) for the Alzheimer’s Association.

For her part, she will knit the Fading Memories Cowl 2024, a pattern she designed specifically for this year’s event, during the daylight hours (between about 5:00 am and 9:00 pm Mountain Daylight Time) on Sunday, June 23. She invites all knitters to join her. The Fading Memories Cowl 2024 pattern is available on Ravelry. 

This year Dianna Judge has designed a companion cowl worked in crochet. The Fading Memories Crochet Cowl 2024 pattern is also available on Ravelry. For every pattern sold, Dianna will donate $5 to Alzheimer’s Research.

Emma’s Yarn has created some fabulous fading kits for both the knit and crochet version of the cowls and Four Purls will donate $5 per kit to Alzheimer’s research.
