The Collins Tee is a top-down, yoked, short-sleeved top featuring simple colorwork elements that are suitable for adventurous beginning knitters. It was inspired by the beautiful Ft Collins, CO, and my daughter, Aspen, who calls the area home! The pattern is offered in a range of sizes with options to add length for those who don’t prefer a crop. It can be knit in 2-7 (or more) colors.

Sizes: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14

Finished bust circumference: 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60, 62 inches

Shown worn with 2 inches of positive ease.

Yarn:
All CCs should have a strong contrast to the MC.
MC: 389, 466, 534, 602, 670, 738, 806, 874, 942, 1010, 1078, 1146, 1214, 1282 yards.
CC: 251, 271, 291, 311, 331, 351, 371, 391, 411, 431, 451, 471, 491, 511 yards.

Yardage for the CC is listed as total yardage. Multiple CCs will use yarn pretty evenly. For example, to knit a size 1 with 3 CCs, you will need 84 yards of each color; to knit it with 6 CCs, you’ll need 41 yards of each. A 10% buffer was added.

Smooth waste yarn in a similar weight.

Needles and Notions
US size 5 (3.75mm) or size needed for gauge:
in varying lengths for yoke and body, and DPNs (or preferred needle for working small circumference in the round).
US size 3 (3.25mm) or 2 sizes smaller than gauge needles:
DPNs and/ or circular for neck, waist, and sleeve ribbing.
Crochet hook for provisional cast-on with waste yarn.
Stitch markers.

Gauge:
24 sts and 34 rounds = 4 inches on larger needle. Take time to check gauge.
