10 am- 5 pm- Top Down Sweater Design $170
Have you been dreaming of designing your own top down sweater, but don’t know how to get started? This class is for adventurous knitters, ready to take the next steps. There will be a brief overview of different top down sweater constructions and how to choose the one that suits your design idea. I will walk you through the single steps (important measurements, ease, effect of textures and stitch patterns,…) that lead to bringing your sweater ideas to life. Level: Intermediate (basic knowledge of top down sweater construction).
Materials: notebook paper, pencil, tape measure, gauge swatch (see homework), knitting needles in various sizes plus some matching yarn, graph paper a sweater you own, of which you like the fit (this does not have to be a hand-knit sweater, any sweater works) Homework: gauge swatch 5″ x 5″ in a medium weight yarn, light colored (not dark – please)
