This month, on April 10, 2023, from 2-4 pm, we will start the Double-Thick Cuff Hat designed by Staci Perry, which incorporates helical knitting to create one-row stripes.

This popular pattern is written for two sizes: Small/Medium and Medium/Large (the cuff is very stretchy, S/M will fit most women, and M/L will fit most men).

Techniques used in this lesson:

• Provisional cast on over an interchangeable cable
• 3-needle join in the round
• Helical knitting with 2 or 3 colors

Recommended Yarns:

1 – 100g skein Emma’s Simply Spectacular DK, and

2 – 20g skeins Emma’s Simply Spectacular DK Smalls

Needles and Notions

• US 4 or 5 – 16″ circular (for ribbing)
• US 6 – 16″ circular needles (for hat) and needles to knit in small circumference (dpns, magic loop, or flexi flips)

• Knit stitch

• SSK and K2tog decreases
• Knitting in the round
