We will focus on 3 red based dyes: Cochineal, Madder Root and Lac. These 3 dyes have been used for centuries to create a range of reds, pinks, oranges and purples. We will first have an intro lesson on natural dyes and how they works, and then immerse in dyeing. With the help of some chemistry tricks, we will end up with around 20 colors, just from these 3 dyes! Suitable for all levels of experience. Dyers will leave with a complete set of mini skeins that were dyed in class.

All materials and yarn are included in class fee as well as lunch.
