5:30pmTake a class based on Sharon From Security’s new glamping design! It won’t be officially published until the spring but you will get the class early as well as the full pattern. You will receive the pattern and help in picking out yarn after the class (if you like).
Materials: DK scrap yarn – at least 30 yards each in 2 contrasting colors and a US 6 needle, 24” or longer. Emma’s Yarn Simply Spectacular DK Smalls will work perfectly if you don’t have scrap yarn. Two hours plus shopping time.
Design Your Own Cowl Class Friday, February 17
10amIn this 3-hour class, you become the designer. This class will be based on a DK weight shawl in two colors (but you can incorporate as many into it as you like). We will talk briefly about deciding about colors and then go on to discuss stitch selection and how to get something that you truly want to wear (or gift to someone special).
Materials: 2 skeins of DK weight yarn, with some contrast (at least 225 yards each) and a US 6 – 16” and 24” needle.
Emma’s Yarn Comfy Cotton DK would be very nice for more temperate climates and here Drapey DK has 30% silk if you are looking for a little drape and sheen. Otherwise Simply Spectacular DK will work just as beautifully as will any other DK yarn.
Brand New Shawl Designed For This Event Friday, February 17

Casapinka has designed a four-color shawl that will not be published until after this class. It is boomerang shaped with some pretty cool stitches that you’ve hopefully never done. Those who take the class will get the full pattern prior to actual publication and possibly some extra special secret tips from Sharon From Security. It is made from 4 colors of fingering weight yarn, is boomerang shaped and you will love it! There is time afterwards for shopping and help picking out colors if you like.Materials: Scrap yarn in four colors. DK is fine, or fingering (which is more fiddly when learning but it’s ok) and a US 4, 5, or 6 needle (whatever you have with you since you prob won’t read this anyway and realize you’re posed to bring stuff!
