Beauty Queen was designed by Cally Monster and was inspired by our very own Emma. Last fall, for her 18th birthday, she dyed herself a color way and called it Beauty Queen (of only 18). She’s funny like that. The result is a gorgeous, elegant and whimsical shawl with stitches that look like crowns and wispy sections of mohair that look so delicate.
We think it’s spectacular and so beautiful. We knitted up two samples (and we wish you could come see them in person) one in Cally’s original color way (Beauty Queen, Yellow Submarine and Himalayan salt) and one in Iguana, Denim and Mint To Be, because we are slightly obsessed with the new Mint To Be color.
The kits we put together represent the shawl as written but there are a few ways to modify and we encourage you to pick your own kits from our inventory should you want to do so.
For example, if you can’t knit with mohair, you can replace the mohair in the kit with one skein of Emma’s Yarn Splendid Singles. If you need help, as always, we are just a phone call away.
