Yume Class with Aven
Saturday, March 30th from 10a-1p
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner- Need to know how to do the German Short Rows for homework and be able to track the stitches in a simple lace pattern.
Materials Needed: Stitch Markers, Pencil or Pen, Highlighter
Yarn: This is knit holding two lace yarns together, or a single sock/fingering yarn. Will need enough yarn for whichever version you decide to knit- long sleeve or short.
Homework: Purchase pattern on Ravelry. Swatch and block for gauge. Cast on and knit through the first short row section (the first six rows and two knit rounds). We will begin at the Lace pattern and yoke shaping, Inc. set 1.
Yume is worked seamlessly from the top down. First some short-rows are worked back and forth to create a higher back neck and then the round- yoke is worked top down to sleeve separation. Some last short-rows are worked to finish the yoke shaping right before sleeve stitches are placed on hold, then the body is worked in rounds down to the hem. Sleeves are worked top down to the cuffs last.
