Meet the Granny Go Round 2.0, a fresh take on the much-loved granny stitch designs by Iron Lamb. These updated versions keep all the vintage charm of the original Granny Go Round while adding thoughtful changes for an even more flattering fit and an easier making experience.
Choose between the Granny Go Round Jumper 2.0 and the Granny Go Round Cardigan 2.0, both designed with DK weight yarn and classic granny stitch construction. Our kits are made with Emma’s Yarn Simply Spectacular DK, a soft and durable superwash merino and nylon blend that is perfect for showing off the texture and color changes in this design.
The updated designs feature a slightly more generous fit, a deeper yoke, tapered sleeves, and a new style of ribbing. The Jumper also includes a choice of two necklines, while the Cardigan gives you the option of using either the new ribbing or the original post stitch rib.
These designs look fantastic in a single color, but they are especially fun when worked in stripes. Let your creativity take over with bold color combinations, subtle neutrals, seasonal shades, or even a festive striped yoke.
Both patterns include detailed step-by-step photos and helpful video tutorials. The tutorials also show you how to float your yarn along the inside or sides of the project, helping reduce the number of ends you need to weave in when working with multiple colors.
