Friday, 5pm- 7pm Wine, Cheese & Trunk Show Open to Everyone
Are you interested in learning more about the rigid heddle loom? If so, this event is for you!
The rigid-heddle loom is easy to warp, move around, and more versatile than many people think. In this short session, see how to warp a rigid-heddle loom in twenty minutes or less and examples of a wide variety of cloth that the rigid-heddle loom can produce. A great opportunity to see and touch a variety of woven fabrics.
Saturday & Sunday’s Workshops are reserved for those who pre-registered.
Ready to branch out from solid-colored warps? Learn a few fundamental techniques for combining colors in warp and weft using the direct warping method. We will learn a variation of the direct warping method, be introduced to the magic of color-and-weave, and learn how to manage multiple shuttles.
Weaving the Perfect Towel
Towels are the weaver’s muse. They are the perfect platform to show off all kinds of color-work, structural elements, and style. We will learn what makes a good towel, how to weave with fine threads to create a textile that has drape, absorbency, and pizzazz.
